As a busy mum of 3 kids, who does endless amounts of after-school activities, I often find myself lost for time and wondering what to cook for dinner. Well, let me tell you, I have the two BEST recipe websites for you to discover.
These two websites are my go-to websites for quick and delicious meals, that my whole family loves. I am not getting any payments for these links either. If everyone knew about these two amazing cooks, our lives would be so much easier.
Let me tell you, I have one of the fussiest kids on the planet. My 10-year-old son. If it’s green, forget it. Unless the vegetable is mashed potato or raw carrot, he will not touch it. For a good year after we moved towns when he was in daycare, we told him that his old centre mailed cut raw carrots to us for him to eat (he would not eat any carrots unless they were from his old daycare). Mealtimes can be tricky. He loves pasta (and pesto pasta – I know, it’s green), he loves bolognaise, he loves parmesan, but he will not touch lasagne! Loves pizza, but with no cheese. Loves chicken schnnitty, if covered in lemon (but do not let that lemon touch his mashed potato). Loves tomato sauce on mashed potato (but do not let that sauce touch his schnitzel or carrot).
You get the picture. Olive, my 8-year-old, apparently hates meat…but is not a vegetarian. She despises lemon, and loves lasagne, mangoes and pretty much all fruit. Will try most things I put on her plate, but when her mind is set on not liking something, that’s it. She’d rather starve than eat.
The 15-year-old has ever-changing taste buds. “I don’t like roast chicken”. Hang on, you did last week. “I don’t like ham”, once again, you did last week. “I don’t like whatever fruit you just bought……”. She will dissect everything on her plate and if it looks “dodgy”, it’s discarded. Her “dodgy” is very different to any food standards “dodgy”. But she loves to cook, and she uses these two websites.
The first website is Recipetineats
https://www.recipetineats.com/
Now let me tell you if you have not seen any of Nagi’s recipes, your life is about to change. She is from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and she has a recipe for everything. I mean everything.
We love Taco Tuesday, and all things Mexican in our house, with chicken fajitas and beef enchiladas competing with tacos. When I say you will never buy store-bought taco meal kits, or fajita meal kits, I mean it. These are super easy, and delicious:
Best Ever Homemade Taco’s

The most divine chicken or beef fajitas:

Beef Enchilada's – rated 4.99 out of 5 by close to 300 users

Not only does Nagi do Mexican, but she also has everything you can think of. Last night I made Honey Garlic Chicken Breast – the kids loved it so much, they had it for breakfast. We’ve had baked mac and cheese, Pad Thai, Pumpkin Soup and more.
My second favourite website is Café Delites
The cook and mastermind behind Café Delites is Karina. She will delight your taste buds with pasta, brownies, full meals, doughnuts, etc. My absolute favourite section is her ‘One Pot’ dishes. So fast, easy and minimal cleaning up.
The one on repeat in my house is:
Butter Garlic Salmon and Potatoes – one sheet pan in the oven for a complete meal. You must try it.

Or creamy sundried tomatoes and chicken zoodles…yum

I could keep going and going. Jump on over and check both out.
